Some love stories take years to unfold. Ours didn't waste any time.

We met in April, on what started as a simple Sunday spent out on the boat. We had such a great day together that somehow, neither of us was quite ready for it to end. Later that night, we ended up in the casino, laughing, talking, and getting to know each other even more.

Apparently, one day wasn't enough for Laurence, because by Tuesday, he was already asking Aldys to meet him at the casino again. And from there, we just.....never stopped choosing each other.

Our relationship quickly became filled with everything that makes us, us - long conversations, endless laughter, days on the boat, nights at the casino, plenty of friendly competition, and a whole lot of love. What started in April quickly became something neither of us wanted to imagine life without.

Then came St. Barths :)

We traveled there with a group of friends, and from the moment we arrived, Laurence was being unusually protective of one particular bag. Aldys didn't think much of it at the time, although a few of the people traveling with us already knew exactly what he was hiding.

Once we got to our room, Aldys was getting ready and brushing her hair when Laurence called her out onto the balcony. She walked outside - and there he was, down on one knee.

Completely shocked Aldys screamed, threw her hairbrush, and, of course, said YES!

We met in April. By November of that same year, we were engaged.

Sometimes when you find your person, you just know. And now, on November 7, 2026, surrounded by the people we love most, we get to begin our next chapter together.

From one Sunday on the water......to forever.
